About

The Angklung and Kulintang Ensemble aims to nurture a love for music while preserving the rich cultural heritage of Southeast Asia. Through the playing of two traditional Malay instruments—the Angklung and the Kulintang—members gain both technical proficiency and a deeper appreciation of our musical traditions.

During CCA sessions, students are trained in instrumental techniques and guided in developing a strong theoretical foundation in music. Beyond musical skills, the ensemble also cultivates values of discipline, patience, and teamwork, shaping members into confident and resilient performers.

Our members have had the privilege of showcasing their talents at prestigious platforms such as the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation and community events like the Jurong Central Community Carnival 2025. These opportunities not only provide invaluable performance experience but also allow our students to share the beauty of traditional music with wider audiences, keeping alive the vibrant spirit of Asian heritage.
